xls2text is a component/library for extracting text from MS Excel spreadsheets.
Main features of xls2text are:
- doesn't require MS Excel to process documents;
- supports headers/footers;
- supports sheets names;
- supports comments;
- supports full number format;
xlsx2text
xlsx2text is a new library designed for processing new MS Excel 2007 documents (xlsx) into the text.
